Abstract: | A study was conducted to assess the impact of a TV movie about acquaintance rape, which was scheduled as part of a network's fall entertainment fare. It was examined whether exposure to this movie could serve an educational function by decreasing acceptance of rape myths and/or increasing the belief that date rape is a serious social problem. |
