| Abstract: | Is inflation dead or merely waiting round the corner? The authors try to get behind the frontline statistics and ask what is determining the level of pay settlements and what needs to be done to keep inflation low. As organizational structures become flatter and people move laterally from post to post, reward structures will need to be rethought and non-pay rewards must be looked at carefully. Keeping control will require a broad approach to pay management. |
