| Abstract: | The labor force market in the Pearl River Delta is split into two: that of the local people and that of people from other areas. This is mainly manifested in professions and treatment provided by the labor force market. Local people are superior to people from other parts of the country. This kind of market is favorable to the transfer of rural labor force. But it is unfavorable to the solution of employment in urban areas and to the development of high-tech industries. |
