| Abstract: | Because novel and autobiography in contemporary literature may share the same textual features, making a generic distinction between the two has become difficult. The article examines two theories by Elisabeth Bruss and Philippe Lejeune. Both start from the assumption that novel and autobiography, when viewed as text, are indistinguishable. |
