| Abstract: | Job descriptions tend to be snapshots of what is needed at a particular point in time. They become frozen in place, even as technological advances and competitive challenges roar past. The need for flatter organizations and empowered employees inspired British Petroleum to replace job descriptions with a matrix reflecting skills and behaviors. |
