| Abstract: | Many of the glittering results promised by information technology continue to elude us. Productivity gains are not automatic and are often hard to prove. Strategic reengineering focuses attention on the systems needed to support the work, and how the work can be changed to take advantage of systems. Strategic reengineering is focused on designing the organization to compete, whit the realization that every business process must serve the trategy, and that the ultimate goal is to compete effectively, indeed, to triumph the marketplace. |
