| Abstract: | According to some, Japan's preeminence in product quality is in part the result of lectures delivered 40 years ago in Tokyo by J.M. Juran. But in this article Juran himself claims that the unsung heroes of the Japanese quality revolution were the local senior executives who took personal charge of managing for quality. He describes his experience in Japan and points to the seeds of a quality revolution here at home. |
