| Abstract: | Much has been written in the past few years about integrated logistics, the total cost concept and supply chain management. However, very few companies claim to have fully implemented these concepts, and even fewer claim to have sustained the ongoing flow of benefits that a successful implementation should create. This article provides an overview of the various thoughts and experiences of logistics consultants and practitioners over the past 5 years, highlighting the similarities and differences between the different approaches. |
