| Abstract: | Recently, the ISO-9000 quality assurance standards have been receiving much attention because of their worldwide acceptance. However, there is some confusion as to what they are and how they can help. In this article, the standards and the process by which a company can become certified are explained. As well, registrars, the advantages of certification, the experiences of some companies, and the future direction of these standards are discussed. |
