| Abstract: | The boss of the M.Group is launching a daily, a satellite and an on-line service in a bid to become a media mogul. Are his plans too grand to be true? It was a rare appearance and one that seemed designed to offer the staff of the soon-to-be-launched Asia Times a bit of reassurance. Perhaps Sonhi Limthongkul sensed it was needed; journalists are a sceptical bunch by nature, and some of the newspaper veterans have been involved in other ambitious projects that shone for a brief moment then faded away. |
