| Abstract: | In order to implement TPM, a number of barriers have to be surmounted, most of which are associated with the management of change. This article is a description of a company that is not ready for TPM since it is tied to past methods of maintenance, does not recognize the need to improve maintenance methods, and is generally unwilling to make the necessary organizational changes. In order to successfully implement TPM, most organizations must recognize the need for change and plan accordingly. |
