Abstract:A well-planned HIPO program can help build a robust top management team with the skills needed to navigate a rowdy marketplace. John, a graduate of an elite MBA program, takes a job in the finance division of a Fortune 500 company. Anxious to progress in the corporation, John is concerned about career development. The company assigns him to treasury for his first position. Twelve months pass and John is moved to a financial analyst assignment supporting the manufacturing area for one year.
