Abstract:In 1984, IBM was the most powerful corporation in the world. 10 years later , it was struggling to survive. Established leaders are falling because of their failure to recognize two trends. First, customers face more choices and will change loyalties in an instant. Second, more entrepreneurial companies than ever are emerging to meet customer needs. To win the game and capture new value in your markets you must develop the ability to think several moves ahead of the competition. This means not only anticipating emerging customer priorities, but also fundamentally changing the way you do business to meet them.
