| Abstract: | Traditional MRP does not work in a complex manufacturing environment. The drum/buffer/rope (DBR) scheduling methodology, however, offers a solution to the challenges of complex manufacturing. Instead of relying on goods stacked in a warehouse, responsiveness is provided by pulling goods through the vendors' enterprises based on customer orders and known constraints. |
