| Abstract: | Great achievements have been made in utilising foreign investment since reform and opening up. But at the same time, problems in practical work have been revealed gradually. Among them, the most conspicuous ones are the contradictions between preferential policies and law of market economy, between foreign capital inflow and inflation , between utilising foreign investment and idle domestic funds, between utilising foreign investment and drain of state-owned assets, between utilising foreign investment and flight of capital as well as contradictions in the co-ordination of utilising foreign investment and industrial policy. This paper makes analysis, in detail, of these contradictions, which provides the basis for better use of foreign investment in China's future economic development. |
