| Abstract: | In the course of reform and opening to the outside world and utilising foreign investment, the coastal area's old industrial cities have always played extremely important role. By using Tianjin city as an example, this paper analyses the particularity of utilising foreign investment and the problems in this line, and also raises the following countermeasures: 1. giving national treatment to foreign businessmen, 2. conducting standardised management of foreign-funded enterprises, 3.attaching importance to protection of China's traditional brand names, 4. taking different countermeasures according to the different situation in foreign-funded enterprises in regard to foreign side's holding the controlling share. |
