Abstract: | The 1995 was another excellent year for Cummins Engine Corp., a Fortune 500 manufacturer of diesel engines and power generation equipment. Sales exceeded USD 5 billion for the first time in company history, with each segment contributing to overall sales growth. Pretax profit reached a record of USD 295 million. These prosperous times are in marked contrast with the struggles during the prior decade. |
