| Abstract: | In the last few decades there has been an explosion of interest in environmental issues. Many of them, such as climate change, ozone depletion and the Law of Sea, have become the subject of major international politics - not to speak of such mega-events as the Brundtland report, and the Rio and Kyoto conferences. At the academic level there has been a parallel development, with a very high rate of growth professionals, articles and even journals dedicated to environmental economics. |
