Abstract:The Chilean economy has maintained a stable trajectory of relatively successful development for over ten years. The average GNP growth over this period has been about 6.5% per year. The implicit assumption of this research is that there is a close interaction between an organization and the society in which it operates. Successful organization and managerial approaches must be adapted to the society in which they transpire and to the most current challenges faced by a firm. There is no universal set of "best practices" that may be applied with equal validity across cultures and countries.
