Abstract: | The author states that expertise-locators are a key part of most knowledge management At NASA, the Expert Seeker system is enabling one of the best-known knowledge organizations to tap into its internal knowledge. The subject of this article is knowledge management. The author discusses the implementation priorities for knowledge management for the United States National Aeronautics and Space Administration. The paper also considers the development of an expertise-locator tool called Expert Seeker and the role of the flexibility of the search engine to the success of the system. The author also considers the techniques used by Expert Seeker to sort through published content. |
