| Abstract: | This symposium presents three articles on how firms change their organizations to improve performance in areas such as profits, productivity, and employee satisfaction. The authors look at improvements in performance due not only to changes in the quality of inputs, but also to changes in the way inputs are mixed together. Thus, the articles look at the impact of changes in relationships among the factors of production, including incentive structures, measurement systems, and work organization. |
