Abstract:This article focuses on sports services from an economic point of view. Since there is neither a theory of sports services nor a theory of sports economics, the particular features of sports services will be discussed in a first ste Integration and uncertainty are constitutive characteristics of sports services and justify the relevance of risk and contract management. In addition relationship management, customer loyalty management and process management gain economic relevance as well as the management of time, capacity, quality and negotiations. The theoretical arguments are founded in information economics, institutional economics, industrial organization, behavioural sciences, time allocation models, services related location theory, capacity management models, conflict theory and game theory (original in German).
