| Abstract: | The study investigated the correlation between psychological distress and absence from work,; compared psychological distress and job satisfaction as predictors of absence; and compared the relative effects of psychological distress on absence. The findings indicated that, depresion in particular, predicted absence. Likewise, job satisfaction and psychological distress independantly predicted absence. |
