| Abstract: | Management literature often gives tautological advice. How these tatologies are designed, is examined in this paper. Three types of tautologies are distinguished: the platitude, the self-evident recipe for success and the theoretical circle. For some reasons tautologies can be attractive for management scientists and consultants. |
