| Abstract: | It has been assumed that global tourism continues to grow in the future, but events like terrorist attacks and natural disasters have putted this prediction into question. This article provides an overview of the disease severe acute respiratory syndrome, SARS, and its effects on global tourism. Especially the role of the media during the SARS outbreak is examined. |
