| Abstract: | This paper tests the nature of competition concerning price and capacity setting in he Norwegian airline indutsry after its deregulation in 1994. It is investigated whether SAS and Braathens competed on prices and capacities (competition), colluded on prices and capacities (competition), or colluded on prices and competed on capacities (semicollusion). The observed behaviour is found consistent with semicollusive behaviour and inconsistent with competitive behaviour. |
