| Abstract: | This article focuses on football as dynamic sign of globalization. The concept of `glocalization´ highlights the interdependence of local and global processes wirhin the game's identities and institutions. The world's leading football clubs are seen as `glocal´ transnational corporations. In this article the political globalization of football os evaluated with reference to the possible advance of democracy within the game's international governance. |
