| Abstract: | This study analyses whether there is a pricing effect connected to the declared degree of the German corporate governance code compliance for a sample of publicly traded German companies listed in the DAX and MDAX. The study concludes that capital markets find the rules in the code meaningful and that there is a capital market pressure to adopt Code regulation. |
