| Abstract: | This paper discusses contextual factors affecting configuration of the strategic planning process. The role of managers' psychological type as a determinant of preferences toward design of the planning is examined. It appears that managers' planning preferences primarily reflect the imperatives presented by specific strategic situations rather than psychological type. The also vary their planning response according to the characteristics each situation presents. |
