Abstract: | The article examines the relationship between entrepreneurial traits, socio-cultural background and entrepreneurial intention of university tourism students in Turkey and the United Kingdom. Data is based on a survey of 409 tourism students. The survey measured entrepreneurial traits including innovativeness, risk-taking propensity, tolerance of ambiguity and locus of control, and socio-cultural factors. The results reveal that there is a statistically notable relationship between propensity to take risks, innovation, entrepreneurial family and entrepreneurial intention. According to findings, education does not play a significant role in fostering entrepreneurial intentions and traits. |
