Abstract:This article presents the findings from a global survey administered to business ethics (herein as: BE) scholars to better understand journal quality within the BE academic community. Based on the data from the survey, a ranking of the top 10 BE journals is presented. A comparison of BE journals to other mainstream management journals is provided in terms of journal quality.
Based on the results it is suggested that, within the BE academic community, many scholars prefer to publish in the top BE academic journals over other mainstream management journals. Furthermore, it is suggested that within the BE academic field, there are two dominant academic communities: one in Europe and one in North America. Each of these academic communities has its own preferred publication outlets.
