Abstract:The structure of an organization, which includes environmental monitoring and control processes, helps to shape managemental views developing their strategies appropriate for that environment. Three such strategy making approaches used in multinational corporations are examined with some of the associated decision making structures. The effect of these approaches on decisions is explored along with how a firm might change from one mode to another. Implications are discussed.
