INVESTMENT ANALYSIS

Abstract:The history and the practice of cross-investment is examined between the USA and Japan. At one level, such investment may be understood as a natural outgrowth of macroeconomic forces, including the capital surpluses existing at various times in the two countries. But cross-investment involves a larger tale, that of growing similarities and persistent differences in the government policies, industrial structures, and corporate strategic operating in two modern economic superpowers. These interdependent forces will ultimately determine subsequent trends in cross-investment.
