| Abstract: | Managers have a host of ways, called games, of competing with the superior's budgetary leadership style and the person-to-person stress in budgeting. The authors found that managers with positive budgetary postures used the economic, intensive, or time game pattern and avoided the devious pattern. The manager had low role stress, and a superior with a punitory leadership style. |
