| Abstract: | Corporate crises and disasters are becoming increasingly frequent and devastating. Preventing and coping with these crises requires the development of new concepts and management techniques in the area of Strategic Management. Strategic plans can be developed both at the corporate level and the business unit level to reduce the likelihood of crises. A scheme is developed for understanding different types of corporate crises, and corporate and business unit strategies for dealing with them are examined. Some major areas for action are also described briefly. |
