Abstract:An examination of situational variables as moderators in leader rewards and punishment behaviour for Taiwanese workers. The study found that the model did not reverse the positive relationship between leader contingent reward behaviour and subordinate performance and satisfaction, or the negative relationship of punishment. The implications of leadership effectiveness across cultures is also discussed. Analytical procedures and factor analysis are examined. Results of moderated regression analysis are also examined. Four Tables review varimax rotated factor loadings, intercorrelations and regression coefficients. Dysfunctional effects are outlined.
