Abstract:The cultures of 7 accounting firms in the Netherlands have been studied empirically using Hofstede's Value Survey Module.Three of the firms were local offices of international "Big Eight" accounting firms with a strong U.S.- orientation in their organizational philosophies and policies. The other 3 firms were Dutch in origin. All firms have Dutch employees. The study was specifically interested in any influences of the U.S. culture upon the Big Eight firms.
