| Abstract: | The strategic planning conference can strengthen the consultants' and companies' planning efforts. The facilitator team should be structured to bring to bear diverse experience in disciplines such as business administration, computer science, cognitive psychology, etc. The objective of the resource allocation phase is to determine an efficient ordering of alternatives and to allocate resources to those alternatives that provide the greatest benefit to the firm. The product of a strategic planning conference is well-defined, logical plan for action, supported by an analysis of the organization's current status, environments, goals, constraints, and strategic options. |
