| Abstract: | The EC's Green Paper "Towards a Dynamic Economy" had a favourable reception. The Paper proposed a deregulated and free telecoms market within Europe and outside.It would end the PTT monopolies on the provision of equipment and services. The idea is generating interest in the U.S. and Japan too. However, now some member states fear they would be exploited by Japan and America if the telecoms market opens up to competition too fast. |
