| Abstract: | HDTV offering high quality picture and sound will be another milestone.But the arrival of this technology poses problem for over-the-air broadcasters,because the currently available frequency spectrum in the U.S. is too limited for HDTV signals.While it is quite easy for a cable TV operator to adapt his system to HDTV. The cable TV industry has recognized its favorable market position. In the present situation FCC is supposed to define a broadcast standard for HDTV. |
