| Abstract: | Owing to the new technologies (cable, satellite, and VCR) internationalization and interdependence are inevitable in Europe.The new multi-media conglomerates have pan-European ambitions, which may threaten the traditional public service broadcasting.To adapt to this challenge from the new commercial broadcasters public service must develop flexible regulations.The competition for audience and advertising income may endanger the traditional model of public service. |
