| Abstract: | Pressure for higher labour productivity provides an incentive for improving workers' welfare and conditions. Appealing to employers' self-interest, a recent International Labour Organization pilot project provided workplace health education and simple health services for a sample of women in workplace facilities. Assessing this experience, it is found that the women's health and other behavioural indicators improved significantly.
