Abstract:The big manufacturing company, Motorola has one of the most comprehensive training and education corporate programs in the world, the Motorola University. Its USD 7 million training budget became an USD 120 million annual investment in education. Its training and education program and curicula are described starting with the methods of getting people to want to learn, and the gradual building up of the education project. The operation of Motorola Training and Education Centre /MTEC/, started in 1980 is described. The achievements are evaluated after nine years, and further improvement is suggested.
