Abstract:In response to a growing number of corporate scandals, business schools have attempted to improve their ethics instruction. In addition to developing specific courses and ethics assignments, however, schools should carefully consider whether their professional teaching standards contribute to or corrupt their students' ethics foundation. Today's pressing issues in business ethics and their implications for professional behaviour are discussed. The 18 entries suggested for an ethical code are not exhaustive or immutable. However, by adopting the code, professors will demonstrate that they really care about business ethics. Common classroom situations are presented. Drawing from these examples, specific standards are listed.
