| Abstract: | In 1987 Nationwide and Anglia merged into the second-largest UK building society. As the merging of two organisations presents good opportunities to review an organisation's human resource policy, it was agreed that a multiple assessment approach would be applied to the 30 most senior managers in the new enterprise. This article gives account of how problems can be turned into opportunities. |
