| Abstract: | Age discrimination in employment is one of the last forms of discrimination yet to be tackled by legislation. Richard Worsley explains why the use of age-related criteria is at best misguided, and discusses the findings of research into employers' attitudes. Discrimination on grounds of sex and race have become familiar, high-profile issues for our society. Both are seen as social evils, recognised first by campaigners and then by successive statutes. |
