| Abstract: | China's laws on the protection of foreign investment have been formed by combining the special legislation's and the related sole laws and regulations. By incomplete statistics, there have been 200 laws and regulations of such a kind. promulgated by the central departments. The contents include the legal status, organizational forms and various rights of foreign-funded enterprises. Starting from the mid-1980s , China has made some revisions as to the legislation concerning foreign investment. In 1986, the State Council issued "Regulations concerning Encouraging Foreign Investment" and "Regulations concerning Encouraging Investment and Development in Hainan Island." Besides, the laws on strengthening the management of foreign investment and raising the quality of utilizing foreign investment were issued. |
