| Abstract: | Economic profit and other similar measures warrant the attention they have been receiving, particularly when supplemented by an appropriate nonfinancial measure. The use of EP - which accounts for all costs, including debt and equity capital - for assessing and motivating operating performance is likely to result in more efficient use of capital. |
