Abstract: | This paper aims at contibuting to the body of knowledge on the antecedents of a company's competitive advantage and performance by developing and testing a conceptual model. The model is tested through structural equation modelling on a sample of 182 Slovenian companies. It is shown among others that a cost advantage is positively affected by financial resources (here as: fin-res.) and customer capital, while a differentiation advantage is positively affected by fin-res. and all three components of intellectual capital. |
