Abstract:Using two case studies from Norwegian computing and law companies, this article examines the work-life balance for fathers in globalized knowledge work. The paper aims to find out the impact of the organization of work and time in globalized knowledge work on the time fathers invest in their work. Also the Nordic father-friendly state incentives and regulations are discussed, and the findings of the analysis show that Norwegian family policies have had a positive effect on the work-life balance for fathers.
